Portfolio Optimizer is a student side project. It is not a financial service, not a broker, and not investment advice. It exists to demonstrate portfolio analytics and to be useful to people who want a second pair of eyes on their holdings.
What is stored
When you create an account we store your email address, an optional name, a password hash, and the portfolios and analyses you save. Uploaded files and extracted holdings are stored so the analysis can be produced and revisited.
How it is used
Your data is used to run the analytics you asked for: extracting holdings, computing risk metrics, generating the written review, and keeping your saved portfolios available to you. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
AI processing
Extraction and commentary use large language models. To do that, the relevant portfolio content is sent to the model provider outside this server's infrastructure. Outside of that inference step, your data is not shared with third parties. Infrastructure providers that host the application and database process data on our behalf only.
Security and retention
Passwords are hashed, transport is encrypted, and public endpoints are rate limited. Data is kept while your account exists. You can ask for your account and its portfolios to be deleted by writing to me@simonhavlik.com.
Liability
The service is provided as is, without warranty, and without liability for decisions made using it. Markets carry risk; nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell. You are responsible for verifying figures before acting on them.
